Offensive Material Disclaimer

Last Modified: 22 FEB 2023

Veteran Impact Services, Inc / Operation Charlie Bravo (OCB) (formerly known as Operation Combat Bikesaver) is dedicated to creating an atmosphere reminiscent of barrack’s life for Veterans to express themselves freely about a vast array of sensitive topics with no fear of negative judgment by their Veteran peers participating in OCB programs and Veteran therapy functions. A relatively small fraction of these sensitive topics are frequently censored by educational, governmental, corporate, parental, and other filtering schemes digitally. Since OCB facilities are in-person, these sensitive topics are unable to be censored. At OCB, there is designated Veteran space for these topics. This space is considered “members only” and is not open to the public for individuals 18 years of age or younger.

Some OCB facilities discuss words or language that are considered profane, vulgar, or offensive by some visitors. Visitors may see offensive materials that are upsetting, insulting, disturbing, obscene, and offensive.

Certain areas of our facilities may have audio, visual, or written representations of people or events which may be protected by some cultures.

Veterans and staff may share many different written representations, images, and videos, some of which are considered objectionable or offensive by some visitors. For example, books in our library or drawings on our walls may contain graphic depictions of violence, human anatomy, or sexual acts.

Our Veterans and staff participate in organic frank discussions of controversial topics a large portion of their time visiting our facilities. Some subjects and sensitive topics that are discussed have criminal applications in some jurisdictions. Others contain information on dangerous or otherwise risky activities.

OCB facilities may contain triggers for people with post-traumatic stress disorder. This is not the intention at all in an OCB facility, but loud noises are going to happen in the workshops. Veterans and visitors alike must prepare for these surroundings that may stimulate any of your senses in a negative way.

OCB may contain images and videos which can trigger epileptic seizures and other medical conditions.

Since OCB is open to contributions from the public, there may at any time be vandalism present at our facilities.

There may be medical, legal, or other information that is normally also the subject of professional opinions; OCB is not currently a substitute for seeking the help of a professional. Please note: OCB does not give legal advice or medical advice.

OCB's current policy is to include such content, provided it breaches neither any of OCB existing policies, nor the laws of the United States, where OCB is hosted. See a list of controversial issues for some examples of articles that may contain such content. None of these articles contain warnings. Categories of some controversial issues: mental health, politics and economics, history, religion, science, biology, and health, sex, sexuality, and gender identity, entertainment, environment, law and order, languages, philosophy, psychiatry, technology, media and culture, people, and or sports.

In any case, OCB is a work in progress, and many parts of OCB facilities contain errors, bias, or duplication, or may simply need tender loving care. We encourage visitors to help us fix these problems. The great majority of our programs are written primarily or solely by individuals who may or may not be subject matter experts and may lack academic or professional credentials in the area, but are near-peer Veterans that have mission focus fully dedicated to the best experience possible for the Veterans that OCB provides services to.

OCB contains obscure information that would not be covered in a conventional Veteran mental health care facility. OCB's coverage is based on the interests of its Veteran participants. Visitors should not judge the importance of sensitive topics based on their visit to an OCB facility, nor assume that a topic is important merely because it is the subject of an OCB Veteran mental health objectionable, and possibly offensive topic.
